Hyundai Wins Eight 2022 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ Awards

Safety has always been one of the pillars of the Hyundai brand. No matter the vehicle, engineers and designers use every resource and every technology available to make sure Hyundai drivers and their passengers stay safe and comfortable on the road.

This year, Hyundai is proud to earn eight 2022 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards. The IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award is the highest award at IIHS. And to be worthy of winning it, vehicles must earn good ratings in all six IIHS crash-worthiness evaluations, including the driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, passenger-side small overlap, front side roof strength and head restraint tests.

Moreover, vehicles must be available with a front crash prevention system (like automatic braking) that earns advanced or superior ratings in the evaluations. But more importantly, they must offer good or acceptable headlights as standard equipment on all trim levels.
